The International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Pathology (IJCEP), ISSN 1936-
2625, is a non-for-profit open access online journal. It is founded by a group of academic
pathologists and scientists around the world, who are devoted to the advancement of
pathologic diagnosis and scientific exploration of human diseases.
IJCEP has passed the scientific evaluation for indexing in PubMed Central (PMC). All
papers published in IJCEP are now under processing for depositing to PMC. It is expected
to be indexed in PubMed by middle or late of 2008. When the citation data becomes
available, usually in the second or third year of publication, IJCEP will be submitted to
Science Citation Index (SCI) and other databases for indexing and abstracting. At this time,
IJCEP has been indexed in DOAJ and Google Scholar.
Unlike most other open access online journals, IJCEP will keep all the traditional features
of paper print that we are all familiar with, such as a unique cover page for every single
issue, continuous volume and issue numbers, as well as continuous page numbers to
keep our warm feelings towards an academic journal.
IJCEP was officially launched in January 2008. So far five issues of IJCEP have been
published online as shown in the Contents. We continue to accept submission of new
manuscripts. All manuscripts will be peer-reviewed and published online within 2 months
after acceptance. If you are interested, please read the journal’s guidelines and visit

The Editorial Board of IJCEP consists of members from the Founding Editorial Board,
Executive Editorial Board and Associate Editorial Board. If you are interested and willing to
